- Caro Muñoz Proto, M.Phil., is a doctoral candidate in Social/Personality Psychology at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York (CUNY). Her work explores the relationship between personal and social change, focusing on the learning that takes place through formal education, political engagement, and nonviolent protest. At the CUNY Graduate Center, Caro collaborates with the Public Science Project to carry out and promote participatory action research and design. She is also part of the New Media Lab since 2010, where she combines research and digital media.
- Caro is the incoming Internet Editor for the Society for the Society for the Study of Peace, Conflict, and Violence (APA Division 48). Recently, she was a 2011-2012 Doctoral Fellow with the Committee on Globalization and Social Change, as well as Writing Fellow at Medgar Evers College, CUNY. She has also served as a Teaching Fellow at Lehman College and Hunter College.
- In her research and teaching, Caro seeks to explore ways to overcome pain and suffering, learn without limits, and love the reality we build. Caro was born and raised in Chile at the feet of the Andes.
